About This Course

Energy is one of the biggest ideas in the science curriculum and one of the biggest questions of these students' lifetimes. This course covers where energy comes from, why fossil fuels are finite, and how renewable sources actually work.

It takes climate seriously without being frightening, and gives students a clear enough grasp of the science to think for themselves about what they read.

Aimed at upper Key Stage 2 and Key Stage 3.

Kate is a secondary maths teacher and head of year in Birmingham. She works mostly with students who arrive in Year 7 already convinced maths is not for them, and has a long track record of getting them to a confident GCSE pass. Her approach is unfussy: small steps, lots of practice, and never moving on until the class is genuinely ready.

Didn't have the expert deliver the information. Heavily political bashing. Full disaster and scare rather than being leveled and focused on the science.
