About This Course

Spreadsheets turn up everywhere in school, from science results to a geography survey. This course takes students from an empty grid to confidently building formulas, sorting and filtering, and drawing charts that actually communicate something.

It covers the skills the computing curriculum expects at Key Stage 3, and the practical ones that make coursework and science write-ups far less painful.

Works with Excel, Google Sheets or LibreOffice — the ideas are the same in all three.

Robert teaches English literature and language to GCSE in south London, and runs his school's creative writing club. He is happiest prising open a poem with a class until they find something in it nobody expected. His courses cover the set texts properly, but always with an eye on helping students write something they are actually proud of.

Definitely recommended for anyone starting out excel. If you are familiar with the basics and have only been using excel as a calculator this will help you realize how versatile it is and how to use it effectively.
