This course helps primary-age pupils become confident readers and writers. It covers reading comprehension, key grammar and punctuation rules, and creative writing, and is aimed at Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 learners (roughly ages 5–11).
Each chapter pairs short, clear lessons with a quiz and a creative assignment, so pupils get to practise what they have learned straight away.

Learn how to follow a story, understand characters, and talk about what happens and why.
Grow your word power by learning new vocabulary and how to work out unfamiliar words.
Learn to spot naming words, doing words and describing words in a sentence.
Master the basic punctuation rules every sentence needs.
Check your understanding of nouns, verbs, adjectives and basic punctuation.
Write a short story (at least 150 words) about a magical adventure. Remember to include a beginning, middle and end, use capital letters and full stops correctly, and try to use at least three adjectives to describe your characters or setting.
