Primary English (KS1–KS2)

Capital Letters and Full Stops

Master the basic punctuation rules every sentence needs.
Study Duration
8 Min

Every sentence starts with a capital letter and ends with a punctuation mark — usually a full stop, but sometimes a question mark or exclamation mark. Capital letters are also used for names of people, places and the word 'I'.

We practise fixing sentences that are missing their capital letters and full stops, then check our own writing carefully.
