Adding and Subtracting Two-Digit Numbers
Practise column addition and subtraction, including carrying and borrowing.

When adding two-digit numbers, we line up the ones and tens columns and add each column separately, carrying over to the next column when the total is 10 or more.
Subtraction works the same way in reverse — when the top digit is smaller than the one we're subtracting, we borrow a ten from the column next door. We work through several examples step by step before trying some independently.
