Learn how writers structure a story, and techniques like flashback and foreshadowing.

A well-structured narrative usually has an opening that hooks the reader, rising action that builds tension, a climax, and a resolution. Writers also use techniques like foreshadowing (hinting at what's to come) and flashback (jumping back in time) to add depth.
We look at examples from well-known stories and practise planning our own narrative structure before writing.
