Human Body Systems
Learn how the circulatory, respiratory and digestive systems work together to keep us alive.
Study Duration
15 Min
The human body is organised into systems that work together. The circulatory system, powered by the heart, pumps blood around the body to deliver oxygen and nutrients. The respiratory system (lungs) takes in oxygen and removes carbon dioxide. The digestive system breaks down food so the body can absorb nutrients.
We trace the journey of oxygen from the lungs to the muscles, and food from the mouth to the small intestine.
