About This Course

This course introduces primary-age pupils to the natural world, covering living things and their habitats, and the properties of everyday materials. It is aimed at Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 learners (roughly ages 5–11) and follows the structure of the UK National Curriculum for science.

Each chapter combines simple explanations with a quiz and a hands-on observation project, encouraging pupils to explore science in the world around them.

Robert started his career as a Unix and Linux System Engineer in 1999. Since that time he has utilized his Linux skills at companies such as Xerox, UPS, Hewlett-Packard, and Amazon.com. Additionally, he has acted as a technical consultant and independent contractor for small businesses and Fortune 500 companies. Robert has professional experience with CentOS, RedHat Enterprise Linux, SUSE Linux Enterprise Server, and Ubuntu. He has used several Linux distributions on personal projects including Debian, Slackware, CrunchBang, and others.
