Plants and Animals Around Us
Learn to identify and group common plants and animals, and what makes something alive.

Living things grow, move, feed, breathe and reproduce — things like rocks and chairs cannot do these things, so we know they are not alive. Plants and animals can be grouped in different ways, such as by where they live or what they eat.
We look at examples of plants and animals found in gardens, parks and ponds, and practise sorting them into groups.
